Vespasian, 69-79. Denarius (Silver, 19 mm, 3.58 g, 6 h), uncertain mint in Asia Minor (Ephesus?), 76. IMP CAESAR VESPASIANVS AVG Laureate head of Vespasian to right; below neck, annulet. Rev. COS - VII Eagle standing slightly to left on altar, wings spread and head to right. BMC -. Cohen -. RIC 1471. RPC II 1451B.3 (this coin). Extremely rare, the finest of apparently just four known examples. The reverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
